What is a FDA UDI (medical device) QR code?
A Unique Device Identifier marks a specific medical device model and, often, a specific production lot, so it can be tracked through recalls, adverse event reports, and inventory systems.
Who issues it
The device manufacturer assigns the identifier through an FDA-accredited issuing agency, GS1, HIBCC, and ICCBBA are the three currently accredited.
The standard behind it
The FDA's UDI system requires most medical devices sold in the US to carry one of these identifiers, readable in both plain text and a code.
Why you can't generate this here
The identifier is minted and assigned by an issuing authority or registry (a tax authority, health ministry, or goods-serialization registry). It can be checked, not manufactured by a third-party tool.

Can I make a FDA UDI (medical device) QR code with a generator?
No. The identifier has to correspond to a device actually registered with the FDA's Global UDI Database through an accredited issuing agency.
