What is a India GST IRN QR code?
An Indian GST e-invoice QR code carries the Invoice Reference Number (IRN) assigned when a business registers an invoice for the Goods and Services Tax.
Who issues it
The GST Network (GSTN) issues the IRN through its Invoice Registration Portal (IRP). A business submits invoice details, and the portal returns a signed IRN and QR code.
The standard behind it
GST e-invoicing is mandatory for qualifying Indian businesses above a turnover threshold. The QR code includes the IRN plus a digital signature from the IRP, so a recipient can confirm the invoice was actually registered.
Why you can't generate this here
The identifier is minted and assigned by an issuing authority or registry (a tax authority, health ministry, or goods-serialization registry). It can be checked, not manufactured by a third-party tool.

Can I make a India GST IRN QR code with a generator?
No. The IRN comes from GSTN's own system after it validates the invoice. There's nothing to generate independently, an unregistered invoice has no IRN.
