Read-Only QR Codes
25 formats our checker recognizes and explains, but our generator won't make. Here's why, grouped by reason.
check.qr.abundera.ai reads and explains 150+ QR and barcode formats, including the 25 below. Our generator deliberately never produces these 25, not because they're rare, but because each one only means something once a specific issuer, registry, or live secret stands behind it. A generator that made blank copies of these wouldn't be doing anyone a favor.

Issued by an authority or registry
The identifier is minted and assigned by an issuing authority or registry (a tax authority, health ministry, or goods-serialization registry). It can be checked, not manufactured by a third-party tool.
- Brazil NFC-e, Brazilian electronic consumer invoice (NFC-e) verification link.
- Mexico CFDI, Mexican CFDI tax receipt with a SAT-assigned UUID.
- India GST IRN, Indian GST e-invoice carrying a GSTN-assigned Invoice Reference Number.
- Italy Lotteria Scontrini, Italian receipt-lottery code tied to a registered receipt.
- US DSCSA drug trace, US pharmaceutical GS1 serial (SGTIN) under FDA DSCSA track-and-trace.
- EU FMD / SecurPharm, European pharmacy serialization under the Falsified Medicines Directive.
- FDA UDI (medical device), Unique Device Identifier assigned through an FDA-accredited issuing agency.
- EU SCIP chemicals, ECHA SCIP substance-of-concern registry identifier.
- PMDA Japan drug serialization, Japanese prescription-drug serialization identifier.
- Russia Chestny Znak, Russian national track-and-trace goods marking.
- GS1 element strings, GS1 application-identifier element strings identifying serialized goods.
- ISO 15459 article identifier, Globally unique transport-item identifier from an accredited issuing agency.
- US Mil-Std-130 IUID, US Department of Defense item-unique identifier.
- VDA 4994 automotive label, German automotive-industry standard asset label.
Signed by the issuer
The code carries a cryptographic signature from its issuer. Anyone can verify it; nobody can forge a valid one without the issuer's private key.
- EU Digital COVID Certificate, EU health certificate signed by a national health authority.
- ICAO Visible Digital Seal, Authority-signed visible digital seal used on visas and certificates.
- DIVOC vaccine certificate, India DIVOC verifiable vaccination credential.
- WHO ICVP (Carte Jaune), WHO International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis.
- HL7 FHIR / SMART Health Link, Signed clinical FHIR bundle or SMART Health Link.
Carries a live secret
The code contains live secret material (2FA seeds, a vault export, a private key or bearer token). Generating one would mint or leak a real secret, so we refuse by design.

- Certificate or token, An x.509 certificate or a JWT bearer token.
Refreshes on a timer
The code refreshes on a timer, so a static image is stale within about a minute. There is nothing fixed to generate.

Blocked for safety
The scheme can execute code or read local files. We deliberately never produce these.
