Coupon QR codes — how they work
Entering a promo code manually is friction that costs conversions. A coupon QR code removes that step: the customer scans, lands on your checkout or product page, and the code is already in the URL as a query parameter (?code=YOURCODE). Your store's storefront reads that parameter and applies the discount automatically.
With or without a URL
If you add a redemption URL, the QR encodes a link like https://shop.example.com/checkout?code=SAVE20. Scan → page opens → code applied. If you leave the URL blank, the QR encodes the bare promo code as plain text — useful for display-only contexts (signs, menus, flyers) where the customer is expected to type the code into a field.
Compatible with all major platforms
Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Squarespace, BigCommerce, and most custom storefronts support ?discount= or ?code= URL parameters that auto-apply at checkout. Check your platform's documentation for the exact parameter name — you can paste the full URL with the correct parameter name into the URL field.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the promo code get applied automatically?
The code is appended to the URL as a query parameter (?code=YOURCODE). Your e-commerce platform reads this on page load and applies the discount. Works natively with Shopify (?discount=CODE), WooCommerce (?coupon_code=CODE), and most other platforms.
What if my platform uses a different parameter name?
Paste your full checkout URL with the correct parameter already included in the URL field (e.g. https://shop.example.com/checkout?coupon=SAVE20). Leave the promo code field filled — we detect the existing parameter and won't duplicate it.
Can I use this for a code without a URL?
Yes — leave the URL field blank. The QR encodes the plain promo code text. The customer scans, sees the code, and types it manually.
Can I create different QR codes for different customers?
Yes — generate one QR per code. Use the batch CSV mode to generate hundreds at once. Each code gets its own QR with the unique URL.
