What is a Review Funnel?
A review funnel QR shows a star-rating splash page first. Customers who rate 4–5 stars are sent to your public review platform (Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor, etc.). Customers who rate 1–3 stars are shown a private feedback form so you can resolve their issue before it becomes a public 1-star review.
All data is encoded in the QR's URL fragment — no backend, no account, no subscription that can expire.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this require a backend?
No. The review URLs and threshold are encoded in the URL hash. The /review/ splash page is static HTML + JS running entirely in the browser.
Is this against Google's review policies?
Review gating (only asking satisfied customers to review) is against Google's terms of service. This tool is designed for routing — all customers are asked to rate, and only dissatisfied customers are routed to private feedback instead of a public review. That's not gating; it's damage control.
What if I don't have a feedback form?
Leave the feedback URL blank. Unhappy customers see a 'Thank you, we'll do better next time' message. Or use a simple mailto: link to send you an email.
Can I set the threshold to 5 stars only?
Yes — set threshold to 5 and only perfect-score customers go to your review page. This is more aggressive filtering; use responsibly.
Will the QR work offline or if this site goes down?
The data is in the URL hash (permanent). The /review/ page is a tiny static file you can host anywhere if needed.
Can I track how many people scanned vs reviewed?
Not via this generator. For tracking, run the review URL through your own redirect (e.g. yoursite.com/review-redirect) and log the requests.
